A public hearing will be held prior to the regular Board of Education meeting commencing at 7:00 p.m. on September 16, 2010 at 4545 Central School Road, at which time citizens may be heard on the proposed property tax rates to be set by the Board of Education of the Francis Howell R-III School District.

More than 200 students gathered their helmets and knee pads as they prepared for the Warren Elementary Bike Rodeo. The Bike Rodeo was in held in partnership with the Cottleville Police Department as part of the Warren Four ‘R’ Nights (Respect, Responsibility, Relationships, Results) celebrating great character amongst the students, school, and community.

The journalism program at Francis Howell North (FHN) High School has been awarded the “Journalism Education Association (JEA) First Amendment Press Freedom Award,” which was presented at the April JEA/NSPA (National Scholastic Press Association) National Convention in Portland, Oregon.

The Francis Howell Central (FHC) High School newspaper, Central Focus, recently received a first place award by the Quill and Scroll International Honorary Society for High School Journalists, an international honor society that encourages and recognizes individual student achievement in journalism and scholastic publication.

Todd Berck, the Francis Howell Central Varsity Football Coach, may have stepped away from the playing field for a few years, but he is back with new plays and strategies that will be sure to guarantee the Spartans a great season.

The Francis Howell High School Varsity Football Coach, Bryan Koch, encourages football players to participate in sports year-round to prevent athletic injuries.
